Join us as a Junior Analyst at the ECBF, where you'll play a crucial role in building our investment portfolio in the European bioeconomy and biobased circular economy sectors. From day one, you'll be immersed in a range of crucial tasks, gradually taking on responsibilities that include:
- Support investment managers in the evaluation and analysis of incoming deals
- Contribute to the technical, financial and ESG due diligence of investment targets
- Contribute to the preparation of investment memos
- Screening relevant sources for attractive investment opportunities
- Developing specific topics for internal knowledge database and knowledge sharing with limited partners
- Co-manage our LP reporting platform
- Opportunity to attend startup and industry events
- Meet startups operating in different sectors / markets
- Maintaining relationships with various network partners (startups, limited partners, co-investors, regional organizations)
Why you´re a good fit for us:
You are a self-motivated personality who enjoys researching technical and financial matters. A hunting instinct to source and identify attractive investment opportunities is part of your DNA.
You have completed your bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in natural sciences, chemistry or process engineering and you want to gain one year of working experience.
You are passionate about venture capital, start-ups, innovative technologies, and the bioeconomy.
Ideally, you already have experience working in a start-up, business development, consulting, or private equity as a working student or intern.
Curiosity and continuous learning, as well as seeking advice from our experienced team members, will drive your personal and professional development.
You are used to working independently and bringing your initiative to a team.
Fluent English isn´t a challenge for you and additionally, you speak one more European language - this would be fantastic. You have grown up with MS Office tools and can use them while sleeping.
